Security Officer Protective Services (Unarmed)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be vigilant and proactive in detecting suspicious behavior and preventing potential threats.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular building checks to maintain a visible security presence and identify potential issues.
  • Patrol parking areas and respond to emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
  • Aid in visitor control and respond to calls for assistance, protecting staff and others from harm.
  • Investigate incidents and work with local law enforcement agencies as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report incidents as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the security and well-being of our staff and visitors.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational technical degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
  • Familiarity with report writing and surveillance systems.
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
  • Registered as a security officer.
