  • Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
  • Apprehend or deter persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Report on medical issues, criminal activity, and policy violations
  • Identify and report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
  • Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
  • Perform CPR and basic first aid in certain medical situations
  • Enforce curfews and other policies
  • Conduct regular inspections

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with security equipment, including tasers, OC spray, handcuffs, and two-way radios
  • Ability to handle a physical workload, be on your feet for several hours at a time, and learn defensive tactics
  • Strong attention to detail, good report writing, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to qualify in taser certification, OC pepper spray certification, ASP baton certification, and firearms certification for armed guards
