At The Menninger Clinic, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team on the adolescent unit. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Job Summary:

  • This is a part-time position with 3-4 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional who can provide exceptional care to adolescents and their families. Key responsibilities include assessment and care planning, patient teaching, and discharge planning, as well as participation in hospital operations and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop comprehensive care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions.
    • Provide individualized health education to patients and their families, promoting healthy behaviors and self-management skills.
    • Modify care plans based on ongoing patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Hospital Operations:
    • Participate in hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
  • Minimum two years of experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably working with adolescents.

The Menninger Clinic offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
