Cardiology Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to serve as a Cardiology Department Supervisor at Mount Sinai Health System. This role will oversee the secretarial and clerical functions of the department, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage payroll, attendance, and time records for cardiology staff.
- Coordinate purchase requests and follow up with the purchasing department.
- Maintain office inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Monitor and manage cardiology on-call schedules, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Provide complex secretarial support to department leaders, physicians, and fellows, including manuscript preparation, graphic presentations, and professional correspondence.
- Maintain accurate physician schedules, handle confidential documents, and schedule meetings.
- Answer phones, relay messages, and resolve problems or conflicts as needed.
- High school graduate with additional medical assistant or medical secretary coursework; college graduate preferred.
- 3 years of medical office experience.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build and maintain a successful team.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Ability to delegate responsibility and gain commitment from team members.
- Stress tolerance and ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations.
