Job Overview

Elmington Property Management is on the lookout for a committed Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for maintaining the quality and functionality of our properties.

Your Role at Elmington: As a Property Maintenance Specialist, you will play an essential role in ensuring the property remains in excellent condition. You will be responsible for addressing service requests and executing repairs efficiently, with a strong emphasis on plumbing, general carpentry, and appliance maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair major appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing issues, electrical problems (where no license is needed), general carpentry tasks, pool maintenance, and roof and gutter repairs.
  • Manage landscaping issues and assist with snow and ice removal as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents and colleagues, even in challenging situations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Ensure service requests are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Utilize computers and technology to manage emails and company software.
  • Adhere to Elmington's standards regarding service work orders and turnover of vacant units.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
  • EPA/HVAC certification is preferred or required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the physical integrity of the property.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
  • Willingness to respond to issues outside of regular working hours when necessary.
  • Accurate reporting of hours worked, ensuring proper clocking in and out.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
