Your Role at Elmington: As a Property Maintenance Specialist, you will play an essential role in ensuring the property remains in excellent condition. You will be responsible for addressing service requests and executing repairs efficiently, with a strong emphasis on plumbing, general carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair major appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing issues, electrical problems (where no license is needed), general carpentry tasks, pool maintenance, and roof and gutter repairs.
- Manage landscaping issues and assist with snow and ice removal as necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with residents and colleagues, even in challenging situations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
- Ensure service requests are completed accurately and promptly.
- Utilize computers and technology to manage emails and company software.
- Adhere to Elmington's standards regarding service work orders and turnover of vacant units.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- EPA/HVAC certification is preferred or required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the physical integrity of the property.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
- Willingness to respond to issues outside of regular working hours when necessary.
- Accurate reporting of hours worked, ensuring proper clocking in and out.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
