We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our team at Alameda Health System. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with psychiatric needs, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and other essential nursing interventions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve treatment goals.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum six months of experience as a Clinical Nurse I with Alameda Health System or equivalent experience in a comparable setting.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), with other certifications as required by the facility or unit/department specialty.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification, desirable for Emergency Department positions.
- Certification as a Public Health Nurse in the State of California, required for certain positions.
- Completion of Perinatal Safety Modules within three months of hire, with evidence of completion and continuing annual competency.
This is a full-time, night shift position at John George Psychiatric Hospital, with a 1.0 FTE schedule.
