Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, including blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies.
  • Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control.
  • Prepare and administer intravenous injections in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent.
  • State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from NMTCB.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Venipuncture certification.
  • State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT).
