Resumen del Puesto:
Realiza trabajos administrativos complejos en la planificación, organización y gestión de las operaciones de múltiples bibliotecas de sucursales, asegurando la entrega eficiente de materiales y servicios bibliotecarios, supervisando la planificación de programas de sucursales y trabajos relacionados según se presente o se asigne. El trabajo se realiza bajo la dirección general del Director Asociado de Bibliotecas Comunitarias. Se ejerce supervisión sobre todo el personal en el Área.

Deberes y Responsabilidades Esenciales:

  • Organiza, aprueba y dirige programas bibliotecarios para mejorar la conciencia y participación comunitaria.
  • Revisa, aprueba y asegura la precisión de las facturas y registros financieros relacionados. Asegura los recursos apropiados para las sucursales.
  • Proporciona gestión en el sitio y fuera de él de todo el personal de la sucursal y asegura el cumplimiento de las normas y regulaciones organizacionales y estatales.
  • Cultiva relaciones positivas y beneficiosas con el personal en todos los niveles de la organización.
  • Realiza visitas regulares a las sucursales para asegurar la consistencia y brindar apoyo al personal.
  • Asigna, dirige, entrena y recomienda acciones en relación con el trabajo del personal. Disciplinar, entrenar y evaluar el desempeño del personal.
  • Asegura que el trabajo del personal de la sucursal y la implementación de políticas, procedimientos, servicios y proyectos de NCRL sean consistentes en todo el sistema bibliotecario y satisfagan las necesidades de los usuarios y comunidades.
  • Cultiva habilidades en liderazgo, gestión, planificación estratégica, mejora de procesos, gestión del cambio y entrenamiento de empleados.
  • Posee un conocimiento detallado de las políticas, procedimientos y prácticas actuales de la biblioteca.
  • Atiende y responde a preguntas y preocupaciones relacionadas con el servicio al cliente.
  • Actúa de manera ética y honesta, aplicando altos estándares de comportamiento a todas las actividades laborales e interacciones.
  • Desarrolla y mantiene horarios del personal.
  • Realiza otras tareas según se asignen.

Calificaciones Requeridas
Educación y Experiencia:

  • Título universitario en Negocios, Logística, Gestión, Recursos Humanos o disciplina relacionada con un mínimo de cinco (5) años de experiencia en supervisión.
  • Se desea experiencia en la gestión de sitios remotos.
  • Se desea un título de Maestría en Ciencias de la Información y Bibliotecología (MLIS/MLS).
  • Se prefiere experiencia en bibliotecas públicas.

Conocimientos, Habilidades y Capacidades:

  • Experiencia supervisando personal en múltiples ubicaciones.
  • Experiencia creando, aplicando e implementando políticas, procedimientos y sistemas operativos.
  • Compromiso demostrado con la diversidad y la inclusión.
  • Conocimiento básico de las leyes federales de salario y horas, EEO, ADA y L&I.

Ambiente de Trabajo y Demandas Físicas:

  • Licencia de conducir válida en el Estado de WA.
