Position Overview:

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This role focuses on delivering technical expertise and engineering support to enhance our manufacturing operations. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and adhere to high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to provide insights on product design for manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Evaluate and refine panel designs to boost production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Create templates and poka-yokes to enhance productivity and ensure product quality.
  • Offer technical support to the manufacturing team during the assembly, testing, and packaging of both new and existing LV electrical panel projects, including prototypes.
  • Establish and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth understanding of electrical panel design, assembly, and testing methodologies.
Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
