Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at St Marys Regional Medical Center--Maine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized sonographic testing, covering emergency-call back, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform all routine and specialized sonographic testing to support patient care.
- Cover emergency-call back and provide timely response to critical situations.
- Conduct clerical tasks to support patient testing and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and technologies.
- Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited ARDMS school of sonography.
- Current ARDMS registration and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- License to practice in the State of Maine.
- Ability to work well in high-stress situations and maintain a calm demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Covers emergency-call back and provides timely response to critical situations.
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius.
