Intensive Care Unit Nurse

At St. Michael's Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team.
About the Role:The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and goals.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
