Job Summary

Quad is seeking a full-time Recycling Technician at our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating materials to be recycled, operating the bailing and shredding system, and ensuring the efficient separation and storage of recyclables for shipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the movement of materials to be recycled within the plant using a forklift or tugger.
  • Remove all recyclables from around the plant and deposit them into the recycling system.
  • Operate the bailing and shredding system to process recyclables.
  • Separate and store various grades of recyclables for shipment.
  • Load semi-truck trailers and rail cars with recyclables.
  • Complete basic forms for billing and service orders.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3/4 days a week.
Requirements
  • Accurately complete billing and shipping forms.
  • Follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Read and write, with good verbal and written comprehension.
  • Multi-task and prioritize job needs.
  • Lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexible daytime hours, working up to 30 hours per week.
  • Climb ladders above 12 feet high with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating a forklift or heavy machinery is preferred, but Quad is willing to train the right candidate.
