Position: Plumbing Operations Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Operations Supervisor will oversee the plumbing team, ensuring top-notch customer service and fostering a cohesive work environment. This role involves shaping the company culture, driving performance, and resolving operational challenges while maintaining a keen understanding of financial aspects, strategic planning, and market competition.
In this position, you will:
- Lead proactively, spending most of your time in the field while also managing, mentoring, and holding the plumbing team accountable.
- Supervise, train, and coach plumbers on both technical skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Address daily technician needs, providing support, recognition, and necessary disciplinary actions.
- Ensure positive customer interactions, including addressing technician performance issues and resolving technical billing disputes.
- Perform plumbing services as required.
- Embrace and promote our mission statement and core values.
- Identify growth opportunities and facilitate the development of individual technicians through hands-on training, coaching, and assigned learning tasks.
- Educate plumbing technicians on new procedures, work policies, and plumbing regulations.
- Organize and develop schedules for equipment utilization.
- Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations relevant to plumbing work and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor materials and labor expenses to keep the plumbing department within budgetary constraints.
- Assist in preparing capital expenditures and operational budgets alongside the Plumbing Manager.
- Collaborate with the Plumbing Manager and administrative staff to meet the operational demands of the plumbing business.
- Plan for personal and team improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- A minimum of 10 years of plumbing and/or supervisory experience.
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred in PA, required in MD.
- Thorough knowledge of local plumbing codes is essential.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills are required.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and electrical hazards may occur. The employee is often exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and the noise level in the work environment may be loud at times.
