Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nursing personnel with the completion of residents' daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene.
  • Conduct vital sign assessments for residents at the start of each shift and as required.
  • Respond to calls for assistance and monitor changes in residents' behavior, emotional state, or physical condition.
  • Complete necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in the transportation of residents as needed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our residents at all times.
  • Encourage residents to remain active and engaged.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy living environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current certification and GNA license in Maryland.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented setting.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when interacting with residents.
  • Attentive listening skills are crucial.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure are required.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in assignments.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion while engaging with residents to enhance their comfort levels.
