Job Summary

The Student Affairs Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the law school's support system, serving as a key liaison between students, faculty, and staff. This position is responsible for managing and implementing events, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Office of Student Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Assist with supporting the setup and execution of student organization events, providing room reservation, supplies, event signage, and guest speaker support.
  • Student Organization Support: Promote, organize, and coordinate the annual Student Organization Fair, ensuring a successful and engaging experience for students.
  • Supply Management: Organize and stock student organization supply closets and complete supply requests from student organizations, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient system.
  • Well-being Initiatives: Assist with the implementation of well-being initiatives, such as well-being week events and programming for the law school community, promoting a culture of wellness and support.
  • Exam Proctoring: Assist with exam proctoring for ADA-accommodated students and make-up exams, ensuring a fair and accessible testing environment.
  • Large-Scale Events: Assist with large-scale student affairs events, including Orientation, Grad Brunch, Finals Programming, Inns of Court Banquet, etc., providing exceptional support and coordination.
  • Locker Coordination: Assist with locker coordination (assignments, clean out, and miscellaneous issues), ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Liaise with other law school departments to support student services programming in admissions, the office of career and professional development, and the office of professional engagement at the law school, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Committee Participation: Participate in law school committees when needed, contributing to the development and implementation of student services initiatives.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Maintain a collaborative work environment and work well with others, promoting a positive and productive team culture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Two years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience
