About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced healthcare coder to join our team as a contract/travel professional. As a Certified Coder, you will be responsible for assigning accurate and compliant ICD-9/ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, HCC and HEDIS CAT II codes in a high-volume setting.


Responsibilities
  • Assign accurate and compliant ICD-9/ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, HCC and HEDIS CAT II codes in a high-volume setting.
  • Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines, including AAPC certification requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely coding.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements
  • AAPC certificate, MUST have CPC, CPC-H and/or COC certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in coding, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
