Position Overview: Air Products, a leader in industrial gases, is in search of a motivated and proactive individual to take on the role of Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist. This full-time position includes on-call responsibilities.

This role primarily supports our hydrogen production facilities, ensuring the effective operation of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of process control systems, safety devices, analyzers, PLCs, field instrumentation, and monitoring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate plant instrumentation and control systems.
  • Maintain familiarity with all equipment utilized in the facilities.
  • Prepare and submit technical reports, ensuring accurate documentation through our management systems.
  • Collaborate with Instrument Engineering Support to uphold distributed control systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in calibration and troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and controls.
  • Familiarity with PLC and DCS controls is advantageous.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of management systems are desired.

Work Environment:

Candidates should be prepared to work in an industrial setting, which may involve climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces. Flexibility to work extended hours on short notice is essential. This role emphasizes teamwork and effective communication across technical and operational teams.
