Position Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest accommodations, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Cleaning tasks include restocking supplies, sanitizing equipment, and making beds. The role typically involves vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other general cleaning duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Make beds.
  • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing materials.
  • Clean guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs.
  • Follow safety regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform according to company policy.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position.
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
