Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Food Services Director and the South Campus Café Lead, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional food service to all patrons. The Barista is expected to possess a thorough understanding of the café layout, as they often serve as a key information resource. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor are essential for this position. The Barista should be well-versed in the café's coffee preparation procedures and the daily operations of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial transactions: Accurately process sales, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and handle café deposits.
• With appropriate training, operate espresso and brewing equipment, as well as perform baking and cleaning tasks.
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions diligently.
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Adhere to daily opening and closing procedures as necessary.
• Adapt to changes in plans and implement solutions effectively.
