Position Summary:

  • The Information Security Analyst plays a crucial role in monitoring, identifying, and analyzing cyber threats as part of the Computer Network Defense (CND) Team.
  • This position serves as the initial line of defense in recognizing cyber threats, understanding their nature and origin, sharing situational awareness, and formulating strategies for mitigation.
  • The analyst utilizes data from various computer network defense tools, including intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, and host system logs, to detect, assess, and report incidents that may occur within the organization.
  • Key responsibilities include incident management, event triage, network analysis, threat detection, forensic investigations, eDiscovery, trend analysis, metric development, and disseminating vulnerability information. Certifications such as CEH, SANS, or CISSP are highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Incident Response or Forensic Investigation is required, alongside a Bachelor's degree. Alternatively, 7 years of relevant experience may be considered with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred qualifications include certifications in the Cybersecurity domain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent; 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.

Work Environment:

This position is classified as Full Time, with exempt status. The typical working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend work required. On-call duties are expected, and the role offers a hybrid work arrangement.
