Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Milwaukee, WI

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

About the Role

This is a Full Time position with rotating holidays and every third weekend. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing electronic medical records.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, maintaining accurate records and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred, but not required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including paid time off, various health insurance options, retirement benefits, long-term and short-term disability, employee assistance programs, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
