Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding opportunity to support students with communication needs across all grade levels in a supportive and inclusive school environment?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified SLP to join our team in a school setting. This full-time, in-person position for the school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students from Kindergarten through 12th grade with diverse speech and language needs by providing them with individualized support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess the communication needs of students across all grade levels.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, counselors, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to support the speech and language development of students.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies to address a range of communication delays and disorders in students, including articulation difficulties, language processing challenges, fluency concerns, social communication needs, and voice disorders.
  • Provide individual and small group therapy sessions in a playful and engaging manner to promote the development of communication skills in students, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different age groups.
  • Integrate speech and language interventions into the classroom environment across all grade levels to support communication across all learning activities.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing IEP goals and communication development plans for students.
  • Partner with families to provide support and resources for fostering speech and language development at home.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology for students across all grade levels.

Qualifications:

  • Michigan State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Prior experience working with students with speech and language needs in a school setting is highly preferred, with experience across different age groups a plus.
  • Strong understanding of child development and language acquisition theories as they apply to students across all grade levels.
  • Expertise in evidence-based interventions and strategies for speech and language disorders across various age groups.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, general education teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and reporting on student progress.
  • A passion for helping students of all ages overcome speech and language challenges and develop strong communication skills in a supportive school environment.
