Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and committed Merchandising Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our operations at Mini Melts of America. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of product excellence and safety throughout our production processes. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the production line, executing quality assessments, interpreting data, and applying corrective measures as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine evaluations of the production line to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks and specifications.
  • Execute a variety of quality assessments, including sensory evaluations, microbial testing, and physical/chemical analyses.
  • Gather and interpret data from quality assessments, identifying any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Examine and resolve quality-related challenges, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise records of quality assessments, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
  • Adhere to established protocols and procedures to guarantee consistent quality standards are upheld.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in quality assurance practices.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of quality assurance programs and procedures.
  • Educate production personnel on quality assurance protocols and standards.
  • Perform internal audits to evaluate compliance with quality assurance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or a comparable role, ideally within a food manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance principles, practices, and standards.
  • Knowledge of quality assessment methodologies and equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to accurately interpret data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and analysis.
  • Capacity to uphold and enforce stringent quality assurance protocols.
  • Availability for weekend shifts on a monthly basis.
  • Flexibility for day or night shifts.
