Job Overview:
Guidehouse is seeking a highly experienced Technology Consulting Director to lead our State and Local Government Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business development, leading delivery teams, and establishing approaches to gather information from clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities, including RFP responses and proposal development
- Establish approaches to gather information from clients regarding client structure, process, technology, and culture
- Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders to gather information
- Identify and implement overall program improvements for clients
- Effectively leverage project resources to accomplish tasks while providing regular feedback and coaching
- Ability to lead account planning and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Experience selling, securing, and launching technology consulting projects
- Technology project management experience, including overseeing junior and mid-level staff, defining project direction, and ensuring successful project delivery
- Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client's management, technology, and operational challenges
- 10+ years minimum of experience in technology consulting with at least 5 years in State & Local Government
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree - MBA, Advanced engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in implementing technology and software, such as low code/no code platforms, data management, and enterprise resource planning (public sector preferred)
- Strong professional network and/or experience in state and local government in Maryland
- Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
- Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles to the MD Client office and/or the Guidehouse office
