The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and a current New York State Occupational Therapy License. In this role, you will work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to design and implement individualized therapy plans for our residents. Your expertise will be essential in helping our students achieve their developmental goals and overcome challenges in their daily lives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for residents based on their needs and goals.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children in our residential setting, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Conduct formal standardized evaluations and observational assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Train staff in wraparound strategies to ensure consistent support and carryover of therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Attend and participate in Case Conference and residential planning meetings to ensure seamless coordination of services.
  • Support family skill development to enhance carryover and promote a smooth transition back home.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services to children in a residential setting highly preferred.
  • Ability to function as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
