Maintenance Technician

MOBIS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Richmond Hill. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing first-line support for all production machinery and assembly machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and repairs in collaboration with management.
- Monitor and control equipment downtime, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and organization/housekeeping improvements.
- Prepare and submit daily and monthly activity reports.
- Ensure accuracy of equipment materials and spare parts.
- Collaborate with Engineering for new equipment installation and maintenance.
- Review and support the efficient maintenance of equipment, providing weekly and monthly reports.
- Assess and coordinate departmental training needs and develop training plans.
- Maintain Personal Protective Equipment per OSHA and Mobis Alabama standards.
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, attending safety meetings and conducting safety meetings when necessary.
- Five (5) or more years of maintenance technician experience.
- A High School Diploma / GED.
- Technical Degree from an Accredited Institution preferred.
- Working knowledge of automobile industry.
- Automotive manufacturing experience desired.
- Experience with SAP.
- Automated production line experience.
- Manufacturing experience highly desired.
- Knowledge of production Robotics desired.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems desired.
- Familiar with Lean work practices.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TMP) techniques.
- Knowledge of both hand tools and Power tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working Knowledge of Schematics and Electrical Systems.
- Working Knowledge of Servo Motors and Controls.
- Working Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Practices.
- Working Knowledge of Hydraulic Presses.
- Knowledge of centrifugal Pumps.
- Welding to include SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW.
- Safe work practices including LOTO.
- 80% on the production floor, 20% in the office.
- Extensive walking and standing on the production floor.
- Occasional bending, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs.
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts and weekends.
- Team Based Working Environment.
- Required to wear PPE correctly at all times.
