About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in SmithFoods Orrville Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for procuring raw materials and finished goods for our manufacturing plants, ensuring cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and supplier accountability. In this role, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, analyze production requirements, and implement data-driven decision-making processes. Additionally, you will oversee open orders, manage supplier performance, and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving supply chain resilience.

Responsibilities:
  • Source direct materials and components from approved suppliers
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Analyze production requirements to inform procurement decisions
  • Oversee open orders and confirm delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve efficiency

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need a minimum of 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and a Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain, Business, etc.) or equivalent. You must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
