Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.

We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services, including the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures high-quality patient-centered care in our orthopedic and spine department. In collaboration with the management team, this role directs and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures.

You will assist with admissions and discharges, participate in ongoing assessment of quality patient care services, collaborate with subject matter experts, and engage in service recovery when necessary.

This position supports a patient-first philosophy, operationalizes current nursing strategies, and provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and managing all practical aspects of staff labor.
  • Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
  • BLS & ACLS certification required and maintained.
  • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills and commitment to staffing matrix/productivity standard.
  • Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
