Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity in OB/GYN and Midwifery

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our OB/GYN and Midwifery team in an outpatient setting at Wilton Medical Arts in Saratoga Springs, New York. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our team of OB/GYNs, Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Nurse Midwives, and have a reasonable amount of autonomy in medical decision-making.
Responsibilities
• Obtain, document, and update medical histories, identifying health risks and needs, and performing physical examinations and preventive screening procedures based on age and history.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and plans of care based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings, identifying needs of the individual, family, or community.
• Order and review diagnostic tests, identify, prescribe, and manage pharmacological therapies, and determine the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes.
• Reassess and modify plans of care as necessary to achieve medical and health goals, make referrals to other health professionals and community agencies, and admit/discharge to appropriate services.
• Participate in team meetings and conferences to enhance an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare delivery, serve on departmental and multidisciplinary committees, and develop projects and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Experience working in an outpatient setting, preferably in OB/GYN and Midwifery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain current knowledge relative to professional practice and adhere to all required professional documentation.
