Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Teacher to join our infant classroom team. This role focuses on nurturing children aged 6 weeks to 18 months. The ideal candidate will possess a profound love for children, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to fostering their growth and well-being.

The primary objective is to support the healthy mental and emotional development of each child, facilitating a smooth transition to their next educational stage.

Working Hours

This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., including a one-hour lunch break.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1500 clock hours in a group setting or willingness to complete a 45-clock hour online training
  • Experience in Child Care is preferred
  • Proactive approach to enhancing service quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to engage in activities with infants on the floor
  • Dedication to building strong relationships with children and their families

If you do not meet the necessary state licensing requirements, we are prepared to cover the costs for the required training to ensure compliance. The Director will assist in scheduling any necessary training sessions.

Background Checks

All candidates must successfully pass state-required background checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead infant teacher in executing the curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 18 months
  • Help create a safe and engaging environment for infants
  • Interact with infants through play, music, storytelling, and sensory activities
  • Provide personalized care and attention to each child
  • Complete 24 clock hours of approved in-service training annually
  • Manage diapering and feeding of infants
  • Encourage children to develop positive self-images and achieve success
  • Foster nurturing relationships with all children in the classroom
  • Ensure appropriate supervision and guidance for all children at all times
  • In the absence of the Lead Teacher, assume responsibility for classroom management
  • Establish effective communication with parents
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean and organized classroom and eating area for infants
