This opportunity includes:
Location: Memphis, TN
Days: Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays
Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-time, eligible for benefits
In this role, you will:
- Play a crucial role in the patient care process by ensuring that laboratory specimens are accurately processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
- Deliver precise patient test results by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Identify when corrective actions are necessary and implement effective solutions.
- Work in a laboratory setting with biological hazards while adhering to PPE requirements.
- Promote safety, compliance, and quality control.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution; OR
- 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution, including at least 24 semester hours of science courses, with a minimum of six semester hours in chemistry, six semester hours in biology, and 12 semester hours in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
- Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in operating general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory, data entry, or production.

This position involves routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
