Job Description

Integra Biosciences Corporation is a leader in innovative liquid handling products for the medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries.

The Manufacturing Engineer II will play a key role in evaluating existing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and quality. This position will lead a team to qualify equipment, train personnel, and develop maintenance plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new processes to improve product quality, productivity, and overall equipment efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators, and molding personnel.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure clarity and understanding among employees.
  • Implement new processes and equipment to scale up production volume.
  • Evaluate and procure equipment for automated production, working with internal and external teams to qualify equipment and develop operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Review new product designs for manufacturing feasibility and support the transfer of products from R&D into production.
  • Collaborate with product design engineering staff to support design concepts for ease of manufacturing.
  • Implement technical solutions to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Provide engineering support to production as needed.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical work experience in an Injection Molding Operation.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automation and vision systems.
  • Ability to design and build fixtures with a working knowledge of machine shop practices.
  • Familiarity with injection molding and automation in a high-volume cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
