A.W. Chesterton Company is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining rotating equipment and pumps in our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Repair and maintain rotating equipment and pumps to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Work with the pump mechanic team lead and other team members to complete tasks and projects
- Utilize experience and knowledge of equipment, procedures, and product specifications to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Assist with the training of new employees and ensure quality of products
- Inspect work and perform quality checks to ensure conformance to requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years related experience with machine tools in a manufacturing/machine shop environment
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Solid math skills and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work in a pump shop environment and lift parts, tools, and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering and shop drawings and blueprints
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
The Pump Mechanic will work in a moderately uncomfortable environment, including extreme heat and noise. The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear and reach with hands and arms. Repetitive elbow movements, rotating wrist movements, grasping, squeezing, and handling objects, tools, or controls may be required.
Benefits:A.W. Chesterton Company offers a competitive salary range of $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and paid time off.
Please note that the final salary offered will be based on many factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, internal equity, geographical location, and budget.
