Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team at Roper Pumps. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and shipping documents to determine items to be moved or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves.
  • Mark materials with identifying information and record amounts received or distributed.
  • Operate shipping labeling equipment and UPS machine.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing and complete requisition forms to order supplies.
  • Drive forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and compute rate and percent.
Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
