Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Digital Radiology Nurse to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the healthcare team in preventing illness and injury, maintaining wellness, and providing comfort to patients.
  • Deliver and accurately document direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
  • Provide direction, education, and assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
  • Recognize changes in patient situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Mobilize resources to meet the individualized needs of patients/families.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
  • 12 to 24 months RN experience for Clinical II.
  • 3 years of clinical experience for Clinical III.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic Health Care Experience.
  • Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.
Working Conditions

This position requires prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder, other), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). The individual must be able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and work in a noisy environment.
