Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist Physician to join our team at the Richmond VA Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Radiologist Physician, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine care to patients. Your duties will include acting as an imaging and interventional consultant to clinical services, documenting procedures and consultations in the medical record, and communicating emergent findings to treating physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Act as imaging and interventional consultant to clinical services
  • Document procedures, consultations, and healthcare decisions in the medical record
  • Communicate emergent findings directly to treating physicians
  • Direct the activities of residents, AMSAs, technologists, and nurses
  • Supervise the administration of medications, including contrast agents
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to improve patient safety and quality of care
  • Participate in clinical research
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
