Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our team at Great Dane LLC. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating material flow in our plant, ensuring that inventory balances are accurate and that material planning targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Physically count purchased and fabricated parts on a daily basis, investigate issues with material and inventory variances, and recommend possible solutions.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Prioritize inventory moves to effectively support uninterrupted production, facilitate the NCM process daily, and communicate material shortages to the cross-functional team.
  • Data Management: Post and maintain material planning and NCM files, and accurately conduct physical inventory counts.
Requirements
  • Education: GED or high school diploma is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in heavy assembly work is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to perform work with little supervision, may be asked to assist in the training of new employees, forklift certification required, and ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools.

  • Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day.
  • Ability to see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb (including ladders), work overhead, push and pull.
  • Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) multiple times daily in an 8 to 12 hour shift.
  • Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling and flipping them into place.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
