Position Overview
As a Project Engineer within our Hydrology & Hydraulics team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of intricate drainage systems to support various development initiatives.
- Designing and analyzing stormwater detention basins, open channels, and storm sewer systems.
- Performing floodplain and mitigation assessments.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical documentation and cost estimations.
- Conducting site visits to assess existing conditions and verify the accuracy of third-party surveys.
- Participating in industry events and engaging with the community as a representative of WGA.
- Coordinating with technical support or Land Development personnel under the supervision of the H&H Project Manager.
- Scheduling project deliverables effectively.
- Collecting, organizing, and evaluating relevant data.
- Organizing and archiving project materials and references.
- Utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Developing, evaluating, and designing specifications and contract drawings.
- Collaborating closely with project and task team leaders.
- Maintaining regular attendance at the WGA office.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained or scheduled to take the exam.
- Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exposure to HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software is preferred.
- Experience in general Drainage/Hydrology & Hydraulics engineering design is a plus.
