Join HDR as a Water Resources Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project engineering and task management, conduct complex hydraulic modeling, and develop design options or recommendations.
  • Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums.
  • Lead the production of design calculations and technical reports.
  • Assist with or provide oversight for the preparation of contract documents, including drawings, specifications, design documentation, and cost estimates.
  • Work independently and plan, organize, and assist groups of professionals and technicians.
  • Conduct water resources planning, plan formulation, and concept development, and develop planning documentation.
  • Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
  • Coordinate design development with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Perform project management tasks and construction phase services.
  • Communicate with clients and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Demonstrable experience with leading water resources design projects, including analysis, reporting, and drawing production.
  • 5+ years' experience in water resources engineering projects.
  • Experience with designing for collaborative delivery methods, including CM/GC, CMAR, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through Project Management Institute.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS.
