About the Role:

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as an EHS Engineer. This is a highly visible role that will serve as the site's subject-matter-expert in all aspects of safety and environmental programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee safety and environmental compliance for the facility, including day-to-day operations, incoming spent carbons, air permit, wastewater discharge, and stormwater requirements.
  • Assist with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by the Manager.
  • Participate in daily plant meetings, inspect the plant daily, and provide safety and environmental training to employees.
  • Prepare all annual and periodic environmental reports for the assigned facilities, including but not limited to all SARA reporting, DMR, annual air permit certifications, deviation reports, and others as required.
  • Prepare permit renewal applications and modifications for air, water, and waste permits.
  • Develop and implement environmental programs for the facility.
  • Support other EH&S projects as assigned by the Director of EH&S.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university is required.
  • A degree in environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, or other technical discipline/work experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of EHS management experience is required.
