Horizontal Construction Engineer

As a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the Army National Guard, you'll play a crucial role in preparing construction sites for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers and roadgraders, to clear the site and prepare it for construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze site information and place grade stakes
- Cut and spread fill material with a scraper
- Level earth for runways and roadbeds
- Clear, excavate, and dig areas of construction sites
- Transport heavy construction equipment with a tractor-trailer
- Move heavy building materials with cranes
- Maintenance and repair of equipment
- Identification of soil types and placement of grade stakes
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements
