About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of providing compassionate, personalized care to all.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as ensuring that instruments and supplies are properly arranged and maintained throughout procedures. Additionally, they will hand required instruments to surgeons during surgery, assist with patient preparation and positioning, and maintain accurate instrument counts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating suite with sterile equipment and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

  • Hand instruments to surgeons as needed, ensuring precision and efficiency during procedures.

  • Assist with patient preparation, including positioning and draping, to ensure optimal safety and comfort.

  • Maintain accurate instrument counts throughout procedures, ensuring that all necessary tools are available.

Requirements

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required within 1 month of hire date.

  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required prior to hire date. Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a) also applies.

Compensation and Career Advancement

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. With opportunities for professional growth and development, you'll have the chance to advance your career and achieve your goals.
