About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist in Spokane, WA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and quality in our medical facilities. As a Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance patient outcomes. With a focus on risk adjustment and quality improvement, you will work closely with our healthcare teams to implement data-driven solutions that promote better patient care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review medical records to identify gaps in documentation and develop strategies to improve documentation quality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement data-driven solutions that promote better patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to healthcare staff on quality improvement initiatives and risk adjustment models.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
  • Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a hospital or physician practice environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk adjustment models and hierarchical condition category (HCC) coding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
