Position Overview


The Department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University is seeking Faculty members specializing in Emergency Medicine to deliver medical services to patients within a hospital emergency department.

This role encompasses the examination, assessment, and treatment of patients facing urgent medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a Georgia Medical License, have completed an American Board of Emergency Medicine-accredited residency program, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required, along with hospital privileges at affiliated healthcare facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
1) Deliver exceptional patient care across one or more affiliated emergency departments.

2) Engage in medical staff activities, departmental quality assurance, or other services at affiliated hospitals under the guidance of the Emergency Department director.

3) Supervise medical students, residents, and other trainees.

4) Ensure that all emergency medical care provided in the department adheres to high standards of quality, with the attending physician responsible for all care rendered during their shift.

5) Maintain professional competencies and knowledge through ongoing medical education.
