Job Title: Chief Psychologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Chief Psychologist to join our team at GeorgiaGov.

Job Summary:

The Chief Psychologist will be responsible for leading our psychology services team, providing clinical supervision, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and evaluate behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders through observation, interview, and psychological tests.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
  • Supervise, guide, and/or instruct subordinate staff.
  • Consult reference materials to identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop approaches to treatment.
  • Counsel individuals and groups regarding problems such as stress, substance abuse, and family situations.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university.
  • Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
  • Three years of experience at the lower level Psychologist 3 (HCP142) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working with a population with severe/persistent mental illness.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Providing group and individual therapy.
