Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Primrose School of Thornton. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and development
  • Assess and meet the individual needs of each child, implementing the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom environment that encourages creativity and exploration
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive approach to teaching and learning
Requirements
  • Meet the basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agencies
  • Previous experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • ECT/Lead Teacher Qualified
  • Previous experience in a Primrose School or similar early childhood education setting
