Tax Manager Position Overview

The Tax Manager at Puro Accountancy will play a key role in managing tax compliance and planning for clients. This position requires a motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our tax services department.



Key Responsibilities

  2. Tax Return Preparation and Review**: Oversee the preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  3. Expert Tax Advice**: Provide strategic tax advice to clients on various matters, including income tax, estate tax, and international tax, to minimize liabilities and maximize financial benefits.
  4. Tax Planning Strategies**: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  5. Tax Compliance and Audit Management**: Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Assist in the management of tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  6. Collaboration and Training**: Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax strategies with clients' overall financial plans, including wealth management and personal financial planning. Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and technical support.
  7. Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive tax solutions tailored to their individual or business needs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in tax management, ideally in a public accounting or financial services environment
  • In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and compliance at the federal, state, and local levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial systems
