Job Summary

Fulcrum Home Loans is seeking an experienced Pre-Underwriter to join our dynamic lending team. As a Pre-Underwriter, you will play a critical role in analyzing and verifying real estate loan applications, evaluating risks for pre-approvals, and guiding clients through the pre-approval process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Approval Process Management: Effectively guide clients through the pre-approval process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Loan Application Analysis: Gather all necessary information and documentation to analyze borrowers' qualifications for various loan programs, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM.
  • Credit and Income Analysis: Pull credit reports and conduct income analysis to determine borrowers' creditworthiness and financial stability.
  • Loan File Structuring: Structure loan files in alignment with borrowers' financial goals, ensuring accurate and compliant loan processing.
  • Client Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate with borrowers and realtor partners throughout the pre-approval process, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • CRM and System Management: Manage, organize, and utilize CRM and internal efficiency systems to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Client Retention and Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to increase client retention and implement innovative solutions to improve the pre-approval experience.
  • Follow-up and KPI Management: Consistently execute follow-up protocols and prioritize actions and time spent within daily, weekly, and monthly team KPIs.
Requirements
  • NMLS License: Possess a valid NMLS license or be willing to obtain one upon hire.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate high attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Team Player: Exhibit a team-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on collaboration and goal achievement.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-centric approach to providing exceptional service.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in standard Microsoft Office products and able to learn and implement new systems quickly.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in finance, mortgage lending, real estate, or title/escrow is recommended but not required.
