Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to students and staff at Sky View Middle School and other schools as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate student and staff health needs, providing care and administering medications as required.
- Conduct state-mandated school screening programs and surveys.
- Maintain comprehensive school health records and submit statistics to relevant authorities.
- Educate the school community on healthy practices and serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families.
- Create a positive climate of physical and mental health and well-being to minimize student absences due to illness.
- Current Massachusetts Nursing License - BSN preferred.
- Three years nursing experience, preferably in a community, public health, or school setting.
- DESE School Nurse Licensure preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
