Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Server to join our team at Ruth's Chris Steak House. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, ensuring that every visit is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process orders using our point-of-sale system, ensuring that all items are prepared and served promptly
  • Ensure that all food and beverages delivered and served meet our high quality and presentation standards
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest needs and requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for all guests
  • Communicate effectively with the Manager-On-Duty and other team members to ensure that all guest needs are met
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of wine and spirits
  • Excellent guest service skills and a strong work ethic
  • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
  • Ability to handle stress associated with responding to/solving problems
  • Ability to take orders quickly and accurately
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand communication in English
  • Ability to lift, handle and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to continuously use fingers to operate point-of-sale equipment and prepare food/beverage items
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a restaurant environment
  • Position involves work on afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required
  • Must be able to work in an environment subject to loud noises from restaurant equipment and machinery, fumes, odors, dust and smoke
  • Temperature extremes range from working near 1800-degree Fahrenheit to working in a walk-in freezer of -10 degree Fahrenheit
